Storm Ready Recognition

Picture from Storm Ready Sign Presentation

This morning at the Brookings County Commission meeting, the National Weather Service's Meteorologist-in-Charge Todd Heitkamp presented Brookings County Emergency Manager Bob Hill and all of Brookings County with Storm Ready signs. According to the National Weather Service, Brookings County is now Storm Ready thanks to the work of the Brookings County Emergency Management office. Mr. Keitkamp explained that being Storm Ready means a community is prepared to deal with the aftermath of any severe weather emergency. He also noted that having these signs displayed publicly should serve as a reminder to maintain this recognition and remain vigilant. Thank you, Mr. Hill for all you and your office do to keep Brookings County ready in case of emergency!
