What retirement plan does the county offer employees?
Brookings County is a member of the South Dakota Retirement System (SDRS). SDRS is a state retirement system benefit that is a mandatory requirement for full time employees. Employees are required to participate by contributing 6% biweekly for Class A employees and 8% biweekly for Class B employees. Brookings County matches the required employee contributions.
