Aiding Veterans in Brookings County

The Veteran’s Service officer provides expert claims service to every eligible Brookings County veteran and his/her dependents and survivors to aid the veteran in understanding earned benefits, which can minimize the burden of health and economic stress and assists in processing the necessary forms for federal as well as state veteran benefits.

Appointments

The Veterans Service office is located on the second floor of the Brookings City & County Government Center. Please call to schedule an appointment. Special appointments or arrangements can be made for handicap veterans / dependents that are unable to travel or come to the office.

Veterans, Spouses, & Dependents

You may be eligible for Veterans Administration or State Veterans Programs. It is important that you keep yourself and your family aware of changes that occur yearly that may affect your eligibility. Check with your Local County / Tribal Veterans Service Officer for assistance.
