Location: Intersection of SD30 and 478th Ave

Driver #1: Brian Blanchford, 17 of Brookings, SD
Vehicle #1: 2015 Dodge Dart, $13,000 damage

Driver #2: Scott Hannemann, 62, of Sioux Falls, SD
Vehicle #2: 2010 Ford F-150, $14,000 damage

On the above date and time, the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office, White Fire Department and White Ambulance responded to the above location for an injury collision. It was found, Brian Blanchford, 17, of Brookings, SD was operating a 2015 Dodge Dart southbound on 478th Ave while Scott Hannemann, 62, of Sioux Falls, SD was operating a 2010 Ford F-150 traveling westbound on SD30. At the intersection, Brian failed to yield to Scott, and they collided in the intersection. Both drivers were treated for injuries at the scene. Brian was transported to the Brookings ER by a private party for unknown injuries and Scott was released from the scene. Charges against Brian are pending. This incident remains under investigation by the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
