Occurred: 11/12/2023 5:01PM Location: Residence on 465th Ave near 219th St

On the above date and time, the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office, Sinai Fire Department and Volga Fire Department were dispatched to a fire near a residence. When crews arrived at the scene, they discovered a large fire spreading from a controlled burn which started in a dug pit. Fire crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire before it reached the residence. The owner estimated there was not permanent damage to any property at the location.
